Point
of Interest: The name
of the troupe springs from a former
pastor of the Dayton Congregational
Church, Stephen L. Penrose (1890-1894)
who left Dayton to become President
of Whitman
College. Dr. Penrose wrote an
inspirational pageant about the history
of the Walla Walla area that is presently
housed at the library dedicated in
his name at Whitman College.
